Home to Independence & Limitless Abilities

Marking the group’s 70th anniversary in 2016, HILA (Home to Independence and Limitless Abilities), CareMalta Group’s specialized arm, opened its doors and welcomed service users into its first home, at Casa Apap Bologna in Mosta.

This achievement represents the embodiment of our founder, Mr Nazzareno Vassallo’s wish to address the several requests he had received from relatives of persons with disabilities over the years. This decision coincided with the Government’s vision to make a concrete difference in these persons’ lives.

HILA offers a range of services to persons with disabilities, including residential, respite, and day services and operates homes across Malta, where the main areas of service provision focus on disability services, neurological disorders and mental health for children, young adults and adults.

Through the services offered, at the center of HILA’s holistic approach to care, there is support towards the service users, while recognising employees as integral to delivering quality care every day in a respectful and inclusive environment.
