Eighty years strong, and still constructing more than just buildings.
To mark the 80th anniversary of Vassallo Group Malta and Vassallo Builders, a team of 80 volunteers came together for a meaningful day of service at the Mosta Scout Campsite & Activity Centre. Their mission was to clean, repair, and enhance the site from top to bottom.
Everyone rolled up their sleeves and tackled a wide range of tasks, including general cleaning and gardening, concrete repair and maintenance, a thorough kitchen clean, ramp construction and organisation, and housekeeping, which included clearing the ditch.
The numbers reflect the scale of the effort:
- 10,600 kg of waste material collected and transported
- 7 skips, 3 trucks, and 1 van put to work
- 80 cubic yards of material delivered by 3 trucks for the surfacing of the ramp
The day ended with a well-deserved BBQ and a small token of appreciation, celebrating the hard work and collaboration of everyone involved.
For Vassallo Group and Vassallo Builders, this initiative reflected what eight decades in the industry have taught them: the most lasting foundations are built with people. After 80 years of building more than structures, they continue to build community.
