Vassallo Group’s Arkati Foundation Day took place in February, a day dedicated to visiting various locations of the group to raise awareness about its internal Charity Fund.
The Arkati Foundation is an employee solidarity fund that was established 34 years ago. Its mission is to support the safety and well-being of employees experiencing difficult times. This foundation thrives on solidarity, as employees voluntarily donate a small portion of their salary, while the Group contributes a significant amount each year.
Group Chairperson Natalie Briffa Farrugia, Arkati Foundation Chairman Joe Saliba, Chief People Officer Lee Xuereb, and other group employees visited several Vassallo Group locations, including CareMalta’s facilities, HILA’s homes, CaterEssence, Learning Works, the Campus Hub, and the Mediterranean College of Sport.
During these visits, emphasis was placed on Vassallo Group’s Employee Assistance Programme, a benefit designed to help employees address personal issues that may affect their mental health and well-being. This confidential service is provided through external companies at no cost to the employees, allowing them to contact service providers directly without going through Vassallo Group.
The primary goals of this tour were to raise awareness about the Foundation and the services available to employees, as well as to express gratitude for their participation and support.
