It is with great pleasure to officially announce that Vassallo Group Chairman Nazzareno Vassallo has been chosen as the Winner of the 2021 EY Entrepreneur of the Year (EOY) Malta competition. He was chosen by a panel of esteemed judges from a number of entrepreneurs who were considered for this title.
He is the 4th EOY Malta winner and will now represent Malta and compete with over 40 countries for the prize of World Entrepreneur of the Year (WEOY) on June 10th. Due to COVID-19, the WEOY event will not be held in Monaco this year as usually happens and similar to last year will be held virtually.
The group is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year as the company began operating in the construction industry back in 1946 and diversified its business over the years. Today the group is involved in construction, elderly care and disability, catering and hospitality, property management, bespoke furniture and steel, energy as well as education and employs over 1700 individuals. Nazzareno has been at the helm of the group for the past 53 years leading with strength, determination and vision making it the success story it is today.
