In February, Vassallo Group celebrated Arkati Foundation Day, a day dedicated to visiting various group locations to promote awareness of its internal Charity Fund. The Arkati Foundation, an employee solidarity fund established 35 years ago, aims to support employees facing difficult times by prioritizing their safety and well-being. It operates on a spirit of solidarity, with employees voluntarily donating a small portion of their salary, complemented by substantial annual contributions from the Group.
Group Chairperson Natalie Briffa Farrugia, Arkati Foundation Chairman Joe Saliba, Chief People Officer Lee Xuereb, and other employees toured several Vassallo Group sites, including Vassallo Builders‘ site, CareMalta’s facilities, HILA’s homes, Learning Works, the Campus Hub, and the Mediterranean College of Sport.

The visits highlighted Vassallo Group’s Employee Assistance Programme, a confidential service provided through external providers at no cost to employees. This programme helps staff manage personal issues impacting their mental health and well-being. Employees can contact the service providers directly, without intermediaries.
The main objectives of the tour were to increase awareness of the Foundation and the available support services and to thank employees for their participation and support.
