CareMalta Ltd. and M.A.S.E. (Malta Association for Supported Employment) have recently joined forces to organize a Pool Party for a group of young adults with intellectual disabilities.

CareMalta has been working for the past year, to start offering services to persons with special needs through its new entity, HILA. The aim of HILA will be to offer a range of services to persons with special needs, including advocacy; independent supported living housing, support services, learning, development and leisure with a person-centered approach.

A number of young adults who participated in the event are currently undergoing a placement within CareMalta’s facilities and will soon be successfully employed within the company’s various facilities.

CareMalta’s C.E.O, Natalie Briffa Farrugia explained that the success of these placements was mainly due to the good synergy between CareMalta and M.A.S.E., but mostly to the support shown by the staff together with the ability shown by the candidates to integrate in their workplace and deliver positive results.

M.A.S.E. assists vulnerable people and persons with disabilities to access real employment opportunities in an integrated setting with appropriate ongoing support whilst becoming economically and socially active in their own communities.

HILA’s next event will be a Live-In Weekend which will aim to create a set up where participants will have an exposure to an Independent Supported Living environment.
