Vassallo Group lays down its first solar panel at its business centre, The Landmark.

Vassallo Group is proud to announce the installation of a 300Kilowatt photovoltaic solar array at its business centre The Landmark, in Qormi. The project’s design and construction is being overseen by Powerezi, a subsidiary of the Group.

Vassallo Group of Companies is proud and excited to invest in the latest and most environmentally conscious upgrade to its commercial centre – The Landmark. Under the direction of Powerezi, the PV project covers an area of over 3,200sqm and comprises a combination of flat roof as well as tilted steel shed installations. The installation shall entail the laying of more than 1200 panels and shall be equipped with state-of-the-art inverter technology.

When complete the project is expected to generate more than 400,000 kilowatt hours of clean, renewable energy per year, equivalent to the annual electrical energy needs of 70 households. It is also expected to reduce more than 352 metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions per year.

The project is expected to be completed by February 2014.
